“The Universe sings, I AM, I AM..
The Universe brings, through each atom and cell; a song of It’s own, I AM, I AM” Carmen Moshier
Truly we can hear the Universe singing this spring! The birds out-side our window, the wind rustling in the tress, the brook babbling its way to the river; all join in the glori-ous Universal Song.
Last month, we too, joined in the Universal song with Light Chimes/Unity Singers and Heart Haven at Easter. We also enjoyed offerings of dance by Karen Bibby for Earth Day and special selections from the Unity Musicians.
May brings Mother’s Day and the Unity Singers will present special music focusing on the concept of God, as our loving Mother. Rev. Doug will also be presenting special music this month. His songs are in-credible, you won’t want to miss it!
This month, let’s make a conscious effort to listen to the Universe sing-ing and sing along. This doesn’t mean only singing along with a fa-vorite CD or whistling along with the birds outside.
Try this: Do you have a machine that you hear humming every day? Maybe it’s your electric razor in the morning or your refrigerator when it comes on. Maybe it’s the steady drone of traffic. Try matching it’s pitch and sing Oh-mmm along with it. You may discover these simple everyday sounds, not usually thought of as “music”, can become a trigger for relaxation and medita-tion.
The Musician of the Month for May is Bev Jackson. Check out her article on the Unity website.
Blessings,
Diane
